Antibody Usage Summary: Immunohistochemistry: was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for was determined to be 20 ug/ml.
 Immunohistochemistry for anti-CD47 antibody    Human Brain, Cortex (formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded) stained with CD47 antibody at 20 ug/ml followed by biotinylated anti-mouse IgG secondary antibody, alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.

 NCBI Summary for CD47    This gene encodes a membrane protein, which is involved in the increase in intracellular calcium concentration that occurs upon cell adhesion to extracellular matrix. The encoded protein is also a receptor for the C-terminal cell binding domain of thrombospondin, and it may play a role in membrane transport and signal transduction. This gene has broad tissue distribution, and is reduced in expression on Rh erythrocytes. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq]
