Not for use in diagnostic procedures. TOP Clonality Monoclonal Isotype IgG1 kappa Clone Number DM1A Host Mouse Form/Format Supplied in aqueous buffer with 0.09% sodium azide, may contain carrier protein/stabilizer. Concentration 500 ug/ml (lot specific) Biological Significance The monoclonal antibody DM1a recognizes the 50kDa cytoskeletal protein alpha tubulin in a variety of species. Tubulin, the major component of microtubules, is a dimeric protein consisting of an alpha and beta subunit. Tubulin is a GTP-binding protein that can be modified by phosphorylation and acetylation resulting in assembly or disassembly. The dynamic nature of microtubules is most evident in the mitotic apparatus. The DM1a antibody recognizes the C-terminal end of the alpha tubulin isoform. Tag/Conjugate Biotin Preparation and Storage Store at 2-8 degree C. Do not freeze. Protect from light. Other Notes Small volumes of anti-alpha Tubulin antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
