MBS9318941 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the ATP-binding cassette, sub-family G (WHITE), member 1 (ABCG1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing ABCG1. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS9318941 kit is based on ABCG1 antibody-ABCG1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect ABCG1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, ABCG1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for ABCG1
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intra-cellular membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White). This protein is a member of the White subfamily. The human protein is involved in macrophage cholesterol efflux and may regulate cellular lipid homeostasis in other cell types. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
UniProt Comments for ABCG1
ABCG1: Transporter involved in macrophage lipid homeostasis. Is an active component of the macrophage lipid export complex. Could also be involved in intracellular lipid transport processes. The role in cellular lipid homeostasis may not be limited to macrophages. Belongs to the ABC transporter superfamily. ABCG family. Eye pigment precursor importer (TC 3.A.1.204) subfamily. 8 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
