The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS088741 kit is based on ANN-XI antibody-ANN-XI antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect ANN-XI antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, ANN-XI. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. NCBI Summary for ANN-XI
This gene encodes a member of the annexin family, a group of calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding proteins. Annexins have unique N-terminal domains and conserved C-terminal domains, which contain the calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding sites. The encoded protein is a 56-kD antigen recognized by sera from patients with various autoimmune diseases. Several transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been identified. There are at least ten different annexins in mammalian species.
