The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing BCGF. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2602357 kit is based on BCGF antibody-BCGF antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect BCGF antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, BCGF. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

The B lymphocyte antigen receptor is a multimeric complex that includes the antigen-specific component, surface immunoglobulin (Ig). Surface Ig non-covalently associates with two other proteins, Ig-alpha and Ig-beta, which are necessary for expression and function of the B-cell antigen receptor. This gene encodes the Ig-alpha protein of the B-cell antigen component. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
