Research Use Only
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
E Coli
Dry powder (lyophilized)
0.997 mg/ml (lot specific)
In some cases, purified proteins run at a molecular weight which is slightly different to the theoretically calculated molecular weight maybe due to the his-tag presence, which can produce a delay in SDS-PAGE. Proteins should be maintained frozen at high concentrations. The dilution to be performed for ELISA assays should be made with a small quantity of protein, the same day of the experiment. In order to defrost the protein, maintain the aliquot at 25 degree C without shaking to avoid aggregation. Prior making test dilutions and after defrost the protein, is recommended to remove possible protein aggregates by centrifuging the stock solution, avoiding alterations in the immobilization of the biomolecule to the solid surface.
Recombinant Antigen
EBV antigen EBNA1 (Cheng et al., 1991).
Recombinant antigen with a a his-tag in its N-terminus
Storage Buffer
20 mM phosphate buffer pH 8 and 1 M NaCl
For lyophilized proteins: with 0.04 ml of sterile double-distilled water (lot specific) for a final concentration of 1.59 mg/ml (lot specific). The protein will be at pH 8.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized protein is shipped with on ice packs. Upon arrival, it should be stored at 20 degree C to -80 degree C. Aliquot after reconstitution in order to avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles and store at 20 degree C to -80 degree C.
Other Notes
Small volumes of BKRF1 recombinant protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
