MBS2500634 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the BMPR1A, ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing BMPR1A. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2500634 kit is based on BMPR1A antibody-BMPR1A antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect BMPR1A antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, BMPR1A. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Intended Uses: This ELISA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Monkey BMPR1A concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to BMPR1A. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for BMPR1A and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain BMPR1A, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of BMPR1A. You can calculate the concentration of BMPR1A in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Summary for BMPR1A
The bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) receptors are a family of transmembrane serine/threonine kinases that include the type I receptors BMPR1A and BMPR1B and the type II receptor BMPR2. These receptors are also closely related to the activin receptors, ACVR1 and ACVR2. The ligands of these receptors are members of the TGF-beta superfamily. TGF-betas and activins transduce their signals through the formation of heteromeric complexes with 2 different types of serine (threonine) kinase receptors: type I receptors of about 50-55 kD and type II receptors of about 70-80 kD. Type II receptors bind ligands in the absence of type I receptors, but they require their respective type I receptors for signaling, whereas type I receptors require their respective type II receptors for ligand binding. UniProt Comments for BMPR1A
BMPR1A: a serine/threonine-protein kinase receptor for Bone morphogenetic protein-2 and -4 (BMP-2 and BMP-4). Defects in BMPR1A are a cause of juvenile polyposis syndrome (JPS) and Cowden disease (CD), a cancer syndrome characterized by multiple hamartomas and by a high risk for breast, thyroid and endometriel cancers.
