The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing c Fos. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS729572 kit is based on c Fos antibody-c Fos antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect c Fos antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, c Fos. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. The Fos gene family consists of 4 members: FOS, FOSB, FOSL1, and FOSL2. These genes encode leucine zipper proteins that can dimerize with proteins of the JUN family, thereby forming the transcription factor complex AP-1. As such, the FOS proteins have been implicated as regulators of cell proliferation, differentiation, and transformation.
