Assay Type
Detection Range
23.5 pg/ml -1500 pg/ml.
The minimum detectable dose of human CASQ1 is typically less than 5.86 pg/ml.The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations.
Intra-assay Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
Preparation and Storage
Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
ISO Certification
Manufactured in an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Laboratory.
Product Note
Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. Other Notes
Small volumes of CASQ1 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS925690 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the calsequestrin 1 (fast-twitch, skeletal muscle) (CASQ1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing CASQ1. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS925690 kit is based on CASQ1 antibody-CASQ1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect CASQ1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, CASQ1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

CASQ1 elisa kit
Principle of the assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for CASQ1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any CASQ1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for CASQ1 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of CASQ1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

NCBI Summary for CASQ1
This gene encodes the skeletal muscle specific member of the calsequestrin protein family. Calsequestrin functions as a luminal sarcoplasmic reticulum calcium sensor in both cardiac and skeletal muscle cells. This protein, also known as calmitine, functions as a calcium regulator in the mitochondria of skeletal muscle. This protein is absent in patients with Duchenne and Becker types of muscular dystrophy. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2013]
UniProt Comments for CASQ1
calsequestrin 1: Calsequestrin is a high-capacity, moderate affinity, calcium-binding protein and thus acts as an internal calcium store in muscle. The release of calcium bound to calsequestrin through a calcium release channel triggers muscle contraction. The skeletal muscle isoform (CASQ1) binds around 80 Ca(2+) ions, while the cardiac isoform (CASQ2) binds approximately 60 Ca(2+). Belongs to the calsequestrin family.
