Product Note
Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes
Small volumes of CBY1 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS9319849 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the chibby homolog 1 (Drosophila) (CBY1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing CBY1. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS9319849 kit is based on CBY1 antibody-CBY1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect CBY1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, CBY1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for CBY1
Beta-catenin is a transcriptional activator and oncoprotein involved in the development of several cancers. The protein encoded by this gene interacts directly with the C-terminal region of beta-catenin, inhibiting oncogenic beta-catenin-mediated transcriptional activation by competing with transcription factors for binding to beta-catenin. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
UniProt Comments for CBY1
CBY1: Inhibits the Wnt/Wingless pathway by binding to beta- catenin and inhibiting beta-catenin-mediated transcriptional activation through competition with TCF/LEF transcription factors. Has also been shown to play a role in regulating the intracellular trafficking of polycystin-2/PKD2 and possibly of other intracellular proteins. Promotes adipocyte and cardiomyocyte differentiation. Belongs to the chibby family.

Protein type: Transcription regulation

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 22q12

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; nuclear speck; trans-Golgi network; nucleus; cytosol

Molecular Function: identical protein binding; protein binding; beta-catenin binding

Biological Process: fat cell differentiation; protein localization; negative regulation of Wnt receptor signaling pathway; negative regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; cardiac muscle cell differentiation
