Research Use Only
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
CHO cells
Species Reactivity
50 mM Sodium Phosphate pH 7.5, 100 mM Potassium Chloride, 150mM NaCl, 5% Glycerol, 0.2% BSA.
0.5 mg/ml (lot specific)
Molecular Structure
A soluble molecule consisting of the extracellular domain (132 aa) of human CD252 fused to the extracellular domain (167aa) of murine CD8 alpha.
Transfectant Cell Line
Five x 105 cultured human HPB-MLT cells per tube were washed and incubated 45 minutes on ice with 80 ul of CD252-muCD8/Biotin at a concentration of 10 ug/ml. Cells were washed twice and incubated with 2 degree reagent Streptavidin/R-PE, after which they were washed three times, fixed and analyzed by FACS. Cells stained positive with a mean shift of 0.9 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a buffer control. Binding was blocked when reagent was pre incubated with anti-CD252 antibody at a concentration of 100 ug/ml.
Fusion protein from (low FBS containing) tissue culture supernatant of transfectants was purified using affinity and size exclusion chromatography), and reacted with NHS-Biotin. Unconjugated Biotin was removed from conjugate using a desalting column.
50 mM Sodium Phosphate pH 7.5, 100 mM Potassium Chloride, 150mM NaCl, 5% Glycerol, 0.2% BSA, 0.04% NaN3 (as a preservative).
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2 - 5 degree C. Freeze/Thawing is not recommended.
Other Notes
Small volumes of CD252 protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

CD252 protein
Information: Human CD252 (CD134L, OX-40 Ligand) is a type II membrane protein with homology to TNF which is expressed on activated B cells and activated endothelial cells. CD252 is involved with costimulatory activity between B cells and T cells (1). CD252-muCD8 fusion protein binds to CD134 positive cells in Flow cytometry.
Applications Tested/Suitable for CD252 protein
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), ELISA (EIA)
