MBS2506317 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the CD30, ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing CD30. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2506317 kit is based on CD30 antibody-CD30 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect CD30 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, CD30. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Intended Uses: This ELISA kit applies to the invitro quantitative determination of MouseCD30concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to CD30. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for CD30and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain CD30, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of CD30.You can calculate the concentration of CD30in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Summary for CD30
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. This receptor is expressed by activated, but not by resting, T and B cells. TRAF2 and TRAF5 can interact with this receptor, and mediate the signal transduction that leads to the activation of NF-kappaB. This receptor is a positive regulator of apoptosis, and also has been shown to limit the proliferative potential of autoreactive CD8 effector T cells and protect the body against autoimmunity. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene encoding distinct isoforms have been reported. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
UniProt Comments for CD30
TNFRSF8: Receptor for TNFSF8/CD30L. May play a role in the regulation of cellular growth and transformation of activated lymphoblasts. Regulates gene expression through activation of NF- kappa-B. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative initiation.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Receptor, misc.

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1p36

Cellular Component: cytoplasm; integral to membrane; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: transmembrane receptor activity

Biological Process: negative regulation of cell proliferation; positive regulation of tumor necrosis factor biosynthetic process; positive regulation of apoptosis; positive regulation of TRAIL biosynthetic process; signal transduction
