The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS7239514 kit is based on CDC42EP4 antibody-CDC42EP4 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect CDC42EP4 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, CDC42EP4. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Principle of the Assay||CDC42EP4 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-CDC42EP4 antibody and an CDC42EP4-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with CDC42EP4-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the CDC42EP4 concentration since CDC42EP4 from samples and CDC42EP4-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-CDC42EP4 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by CDC42EP4 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind CDC42EP4-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The CDC42EP4 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

The product of this gene is a member of the CDC42-binding protein family. Members of this family interact with Rho family GTPases and regulate the organization of the actin cytoskeleton. This protein has been shown to bind both CDC42 and TC10 GTPases in a GTP-dependent manner. When overexpressed in fibroblasts, this protein was able to induce pseudopodia formation, which suggested a role in inducing actin filament assembly and cell shape control.
