This CLIA kit uses Competitive-CLiA as the method. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with Mouse DHEA. During the reaction, Mouse DHEA in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of Mouse DHEA on the solid phase supporter for sites on the Biotinylated Detection Ab specific to Mouse DHEA. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed from the plate, and Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The Relative light unit(RLU) value is measured spectrophotometrically by the Chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer. The RLU value is negatively associated with the concentration of Mouse DHEA. You can calculate the concentration of Mouse DHEA in the samples by comparing the RLU of the samples to the standard curve.

This gene encodes a member of the sulfotransferase family. Sulfotransferases aid in the metabolism of drugs and endogenous compounds by converting these substances into more hydrophilic water-soluble sulfate conjugates that can be easily excreted. This protein catalyzes the sulfation of steroids and bile acids in the liver and adrenal glands, and may have a role in the inherited adrenal androgen excess in women with polycystic ovary syndrome.
