The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing FBXO38. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS7201489 kit is based on FBXO38 antibody-FBXO38 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect FBXO38 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, FBXO38. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. NCBI Summary for FBXO38
This gene encodes a large protein that contains an F-box domain and may participate in protein ubiquitination. The encoded protein is a transcriptional co-activator of Krueppel-like factor 7 (Klf7). A heterozygous mutation in this gene was found in individuals with autosomal dominant distal hereditary motor neuronopathy type IID. There is a pseudogene for this gene on chromosome 4. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2013]
