MBS2602698 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Interferon-induced transmembrane protein 3, IFITM3, ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing IFITM3. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2602698 kit is based on IFITM3 antibody-IFITM3 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect IFITM3 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, IFITM3. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Principle of the Assay||This experiment use double-sandwich elisa technique and the ELISA Kit provided is typical. The pre-coated antibody is human IFITM3 monoclonal antibody and the detecting antibody is polyclonal antibody with biotin labeled. Samples and biotin labeling antibody are added into ELISA plate wells and washed out with PBS or TBS. Then Avidin-peroxidase conjugates are added to ELISA wells in order; Use TMB substrate for coloring after reactant thoroughly washed out by PBS or TBS. TMB turns into blue in peroxidase catalytic and finally turns into yellow under the action of acid. The color depth and the testing factors in samples are positively correlated.

NCBI Summary for IFITM3
The protein encoded by this gene is an interferon-induced membrane protein that helps confer immunity to influenza A H1N1 virus, West Nile virus, and dengue virus. Two transcript variants, only one of them protein-coding, have been found for this gene. Another variant encoding an N-terminally truncated isoform has been reported, but the full-length nature of this variant has not been determined. [provided by RefSeq, May 2012]
UniProt Comments for IFITM3
IFITM3: IFN-induced antiviral protein that mediates cellular innate immunity to at least three major human pathogens, namely influenza A H1N1 virus, West Nile virus (WNV), and dengue virus (WNV), by inhibiting the early step(s) of replication. Interacts with SPP1; the interaction reduces OPN expression. By IFN-alpha and IFNG/IFN-gamma. Belongs to the CD225/Dispanin family.
