The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing IGF1R. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS9501480 kit is based on IGF1R antibody-IGF1R antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect IGF1R antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, IGF1R. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. This receptor binds insulin-like growth factor with a high affinity. It has tyrosine kinase activity. The insulin-like growth factor I receptor plays a critical role in transformation events. Cleavage of the precursor generates alpha and beta subunits. It is highly overexpressed in most malignant tissues where it functions as an anti-apoptotic agent by enhancing cell survival.
