Biological Significance
IL33 is a proinflammatory protein that shares structural and functional characteristics with the IL1 cytokine family. It binds and signals through the IL1RL1/ST2 receptor activating NF-kappaB and MAP kinases. IL33 induces production of TH2 cell related cytokines, including IL4, IL5 and IL13, and exerts multiple inflammation related bioactivities.
Bioactivity
The ED50 was determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of Mouse D10S cells is approximately 0.5 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of approximately 2 x 10^6units/mg.

Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C until reconstitution. Following reconstitution aliquot and freeze at -20 degree C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
