Full Product Name

Research Use Only
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
3D Structure
ModBase 3D Structure for P13232
>98 % by SDS PAGE and HPLC
Purified recombinant protein expressed in E Coli - lyophilised
Total protein concentration 0.1 mg/ml after reconstitution (lot specific)
Reconstitute with 0.1 ml distilled water. For extended storage the addition of 0.1% BSA is recommended.Care should be taken during reconstitution as the protein may appear as a film at the bottom of the vial. MyBioSource recommends that the vial is gently mixed after reconstitution.
Buffer Solution
10mM Acetic Acid
Target Species
Preparation and Storage
Prior to reconstitution store at 4 degree C. Following reconstitution store at -20 degree C. This product should be stored undiluted. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the protein. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life: 3 months from date of reconstitution.
Other Notes
Small volumes of IL7 recombinant protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Related Product Information for
IL7 recombinant protein
Recombinant human IL-7 is 17.4 kDa protein comprised of 153 amino acids corresponing to the ful-length mature sequence. IL-7 is a potent lymphoid cell growth factor acting on Pre-B, Pro-B and early T cells. In a dose dependent cell proliferation assay using 2E8 cells this product shows a specific activity of > 2 x 106 units/mg. Recombinant human IL-7 is recognized by Rat anti Human IL-7 antibody clones BVD10-40F6 and BVD10-11C10 in ELISA.

NCBI Summary for IL7
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine important for B and T cell development. This cytokine and the hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) form a heterodimer that functions as a pre-pro-B cell growth-stimulating factor. This cytokine is found to be a cofactor for V(D)J rearrangement of the T cell receptor beta (TCRB) during early T cell development. This cytokine can be produced locally by intestinal epithelial and epithelial goblet cells, and may serve as a regulatory factor for intestinal mucosal lymphocytes. Knockout studies in mice suggested that this cytokine plays an essential role in lymphoid cell survival. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms. Additional splice variants have been described but their presence in normal tissues has not been confirmed.[provided by RefSeq, Dec 2010]
UniProt Comments for IL7
IL7: Hematopoietic growth factor capable of stimulating the proliferation of lymphoid progenitors. It is important for proliferation during certain stages of B-cell maturation. Belongs to the IL-7/IL-9 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
