As per the new findings, two doses of HPV vaccine<\/span> confer necessary immunity<\/span> to youngsters against the sexually transmitted disease<\/span>. Previously, three doses were advocated by monitoring health agencies in the country for youngsters.\"\"<\/p>\n

CDC<\/span> in its new set of guidelines recommends two doses of the vaccine for teens younger than 15. However, three doses are still advised for older teens.<\/p>\n

The new study was commissioned by Merck & Co. which make two vaccines for HPV<\/span>. About 79 million are carrying HPV<\/span> as per CDC<\/span> estimates. HPV<\/span> is known to cause cancer of the penis, throat, and anus. CDC<\/span> also noted that the vaccine is effective against pre-cancers<\/span> and genital warts<\/span>.<\/p>\n

In 2015, 28% and 42% of Boys and Girls respectively obtained three doses of vaccine. The vaccination program comes at no costs even to children who have no coverage, as per the health regulator.<\/p>\n
