It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized ME2 in sterile 18M Omega-cm H2O not less than 100 ug/mL, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized ME2 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C . Upon reconstitution ME2 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C .

Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

It had previously been weakly linked to a syndrome known as Friedreich ataxia that has since been shown to be the result of mutation in a completely different gene. Certain single-nucleotide polymorphism haplotypes of this gene have been shown to increase the risk for idiopathic generalized epilepsy. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2009]
