Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized antibody can be kept at 4 degree C for up to 3 months and should be kept at-20 degree C for long-term storage.
To avoid freeze-thaw cycles, reconstituted antibody should be aliquoted before freezing for short-term storage (-20 degree C) or for long-term storage (-80 degree C).
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Other Notes
Small volumes of anti-RFP antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Related Product Information for
anti-RFP antibody
Red Fluorescent Protein (RFP) is a protein derived from the Discosoma sea anemone. Fluorescent proteins are powerful tools to study protein localization and dynamics in living cells. The anti-RFP antibody can be used to detect native RFP and its variants: TagRFP, TurboRFP, dsRed, mCherry, mOrange and tdTomato.
Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-RFP antibody
ELISA (EIA), Dot, Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB)
Application Notes for anti-RFP antibody
If reconstituted in 100 muL: WB: 1:1000-3,000; IHC: 1:500-2,000.

Western Blot (WB) of anti-RFP antibody
Western blot analysis of HEK293 cells transfected with RFP-tagged protein vector. 1:1000 (1mug/ml) Ab dilution. Nontransfected (1), transfected with TurboRFP (2) and transfected with dsRed (3).
