Specificity
Anti-RPA14 [Murine MAb recognizes Replication Protein A (14 kD), a single-stranded DNA binding protein essential in DNA replication, homologous recombination, and nucleotide excision repair.]
This antibody recognizes human and mouse RPA14. RPA (Replication Protein A) is a single-stranded DNA binding protein. Human RPA is a heterotrimeric protein containing subunits of 70, 32, and 14 kD. This protein complex is highly conserved in eukaryotes and is essential in DNA replication, homologous recombination, and nucleotide excision repair.

100 ug Protein G-purified antibody in PBS, pH 7.4
Antigen
N-terminally 6x-His tagged fusion protein corresponding to fulllength human RPA14 expressed in E. coli.
Stabilizer
None
Preservatives
None. Available on request
Dilutions Instructions
Dilute in PBS or medium which is identical to that used in the assay system.
Preparation and Storage
This antibody is stable for at least one (1) year at -70 degree C. Avoid multiple freeze thaw cycles.
Other Notes
Small volumes of anti-RPA14 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

UniProt Comments for RPA14
Function: DNA-dependent RNA polymerase catalyzes the transcription of DNA into RNA using the four ribonucleoside triphosphates as substrates. Component of RNA polymerase I which synthesizes ribosomal RNA precursors. A14 seems to play a role in the stability of subunits ABC23 and A43. In vitro, the A14-A43 subcomplex binds single-stranded RNA. Ref.12

Subunit structure: Component of the RNA polymerase I (Pol I) complex consisting of 14 subunits. Part of a Pol I subcomplex consisting of the subunits A14 and A43. Interacts with RPA43. Ref.9

Subcellular location: Nucleus › nucleolus Ref.10.

Post-translational modification: The N-terminus is blocked.

Miscellaneous: Present with 3100 molecules/cell in log phase SD medium. Ref.11
