Biological Significance
Glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta is a serine/threonine kinase involved in insulin, growth factor and Wnt signaling. Glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta (GSk3beta) is a molecular regulator of cell fate in the central nervous system and a target of the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3k) pathway. It is an enzyme with a diverse number of actions in intracellular signaling systems, regulating neuronal plasticity, gene expression and cell survival.
GSK3B antibody was raised in Mouse using a purified recombinant fragment of human GSK3B expressed in E Coli as the immunogen.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C for short term storage. Store at -20 degree C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Polymorphisms in this gene have been implicated in modifying risk of Parkinson disease, and studies in mice show that overexpression of this gene may be relevant to the pathogenesis of Alzheimer disease.
