Moesin/Ezrin/Radixin (Ab-558) antibody detects endogenous levels of total Moesin/Ezrin/Radixin protein.
Affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen.
In phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
The antiserum was produced against synthesized non-phosphopeptide derived from human Moesin/Ezrin/Radixin around the phosphorylation site of threonine 558 (Y-K-TP-L-R).
Preparation and Storage
Store at-20 degree C for 1 year.
Other Notes
Small volumes of anti-MSN antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. NCBI Summary for MSN
Moesin (for membrane-organizing extension spike protein) is a member of the ERM family which includes ezrin and radixin. ERM proteins appear to function as cross-linkers between plasma membranes and actin-based cytoskeletons. Moesin is localized to filopodia and other membranous protrusions that are important for cell-cell recognition and signaling and for cell movement. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
UniProt Comments for MSN
Probably involved in connections of major cytoskeletal structures to the plasma membrane. May inhibit herpes simplex virus 1 infection at an early stage. Plays a role in regulating the proliferation, migration, and adhesion of human lymphoid cells and participates in immunologic synapse formation (PubMed:27405666).
