The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing NAP3. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS103824 kit is based on NAP3 antibody-NAP3 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect NAP3 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, NAP3. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Function: Protects DNA from oxidative damage by sequestering intracellular Fe2+ ion and storing it in the form of Fe3+ oxyhydroxide mineral. One hydrogen peroxide oxidizes two Fe2+ ions, which prevents hydroxyl radical production by the Fenton reaction

By similarity. Required for the survival in the presence of oxidative stress. Dps is also a virulence factor that activates neutrophils, mast cells and monocytes. It binds to neutrophil-glycosphingolipids and to sulfated carbohydrates on mucin. It might have a role in the accumulation of neutrophils and monocytes at the site of infection.
