The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing NAV1. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS9333614 kit is based on NAV1 antibody-NAV1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect NAV1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, NAV1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. This gene belongs to the neuron navigator family and is expressed predominantly in the nervous system. The encoded protein contains coiled-coil domains and a conserved AAA domain characteristic for ATPases associated with a variety of cellular activities. This gene is similar to unc-53, a Caenorhabditis elegans gene involved in axon guidance. The exact function of this gene is not known, but it is thought to play a role in in neuronal development and regeneration. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
