Product Note
Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes
Small volumes of NBN elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS9338916 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the nibrin (NBN) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing NBN. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS9338916 kit is based on NBN antibody-NBN antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect NBN antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, NBN. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for NBN
may be involved in regulation of cardiomyocyte proliferation; may act in a complex with MRE11 and RAD50 to play roles in DNA repair, activation of cell cycle checkpoints, and telomere maintenance [RGD, Feb 2006]
UniProt Comments for NBN
NBS1: a member of the MRE11/RAD50 double-strand break repair complex. Involved in DNA double-strand break repair and DNA damage-induced checkpoint activation. Mutation results in the Nijmegen breakage syndrome (NBS), an autosomal recessive chromosomal instability syndrome.

Protein type: DNA repair, damage; Cell cycle regulation

Cellular Component: chromosome, telomeric region; PML body; Mre11 complex; nuclear chromosome, telomeric region; nucleolus; replication fork; intracellular; nucleus; nuclear inclusion body

Molecular Function: ATP-dependent DNA helicase activity; damaged DNA binding; protein N-terminus binding; transcription factor binding

Biological Process: response to drug; in utero embryonic development; negative regulation of virion penetration into host cell; mitotic cell cycle checkpoint; regulation of fibroblast proliferation; positive regulation of kinase activity; isotype switching; positive regulation of protein amino acid autophosphorylation; DNA duplex unwinding; cell proliferation; negative regulation of neuron differentiation; meiotic cell cycle; mitotic cell cycle G2/M transition DNA damage checkpoint; double-strand break repair; positive regulation of cell proliferation; DNA damage checkpoint; blastocyst growth; neuromuscular process controlling balance; telomere maintenance
