Species Reactivity
Human
Specificity
NBPF3 shRNA Plasmid (Human) contains 3 different target-specific plasmids each encoding 19-23 nt (plus hairpin) shRNAs designed to knock down gene expression. Each plasmid contains a resistance gene for the selection of cells stably expressing shRNA.
Form/Format
Lyophilized Powder
Quality Control
The sequence of shRNA is guaranteed by sequencing.
Directions for Use
Resuspend lyophilized shRNA plasmid DNA in 500 ul of the deionized water. Each vial contains 50 ug of lyophilized shRNA plasmid DNA. Suitable for up to 50 transfections.
Components
We offer 3 different plasmids which knock down human NBPF3 gene specifically. Each vial contains 50 ug of lyophilized shRNA.
Preparation and Storage
Store lyophilized shRNA plasmid DNA at -20 degree C with desiccant. Stable for one year. Once resuspended, store at 4 degree C for short term storage or -80 degree C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles.
Other Notes
Small volumes of NBPF3 shrna vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for NBPF3
This gene is a member of the neuroblastoma breakpoint family (NBPF) which consists of dozens of recently duplicated genes primarily located in segmental duplications on human chromosome 1. This gene family has experienced its greatest expansion within the human lineage and has expanded, to a lesser extent, among primates in general. Members of this gene family are characterized by tandemly repeated copies of DUF1220 protein domains. DUF1220 copy number variations in human chromosomal region 1q21.1, where most DUF1220 domains are located, have been implicated in a number of developmental and neurogenetic diseases such as microcephaly, macrocephaly, autism, schizophrenia, mental retardation, congenital heart disease, neuroblastoma, and congenital kidney and urinary tract anomalies. Altered expression of some gene family members is associated with several types of cancer. This gene family contains numerous pseudogenes. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2013]
UniProt Comments for NBPF3
MiscellaneousEncoded by one of the numerous copies of NBPF genes clustered in the p36, p12 and q21 region of the chromosome 1.
