Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Other Notes
Small volumes of anti-Elastin, alpha antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Related Product Information for
anti-Elastin, alpha antibody
Elastin is a major structural protein expressed withing the outer myometrial smooth muscle and throughout the arteriolar tree of uterus. It is also expressed in the alrge arteries, lung and skin.
Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-Elastin, alpha antibody
ELISA (EL/EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
Application Notes for anti-Elastin, alpha antibody
ELISA: 1:8000. The 50% OD was observed using 1ug of native antigen/well. Under the same conditions, the end-point was observed at 1:200,000.

Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): Fixation with 10% formalin is recommeded. Brief digestion with hyaluronidase or trypsin aids antigen retrieval.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
