Other Notes
Small volumes of anti-INADL antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-INADL antibody
Peptide ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
Application Notes for anti-INADL antibody
Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 32000.
Immunohistochemistry: In paraffin embedded Human Testis shows strong staining of spermatids. Recommended concentration, 3-6ug/ml.
Western Blot: Preliminary experiments in Human Brain and Kidney lysates consistently showed a strong band at 100kDa followed by bands at ~55kDa, 45kDa and 40kDa at 1ug/ml. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the bands we observe given the predicted size of approx.196Kda according to NP_795352.2.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-INADL antibody
(3.8ug/ml) staining of paraffin embedded Human Testis. Steamed antigen retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6, AP-staining.

NCBI Summary for INADL
This gene encodes a protein with multiple PDZ domains. PDZ domains mediate protein-protein interactions, and proteins with multiple PDZ domains often organize multimeric complexes at the plasma membrane. This protein localizes to tight junctions and to the apical membrane of epithelial cells. A similar protein in Drosophila is a scaffolding protein which tethers several members of a multimeric signaling complex in photoreceptors. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
UniProt Comments for INADL
INADL: Scaffolding protein that may bring different proteins into adjacent positions at the cell membrane. May regulate protein targeting, cell polarity and integrity of tight junctions. May regulate the surface expression and/or function of ASIC3 in sensory neurons. 5 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Adaptor/scaffold

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1p31.3

Cellular Component: apical plasma membrane; perinuclear region of cytoplasm; plasma membrane; protein complex; tight junction

Molecular Function: protein binding
