Peptide ELISA (EIA)
Application Notes for anti-NEUROG1 antibody
Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 8000.
Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 37kDa band in nuclear lysates of cell line HeLa after 2ug/ml antibody staining. The 37kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.

UniProt Comments for NEUROG1
neurogenin 1: Acts as a transcriptional regulator. Involved in the initiation of neuronal differentiation. Activates transcription by binding to the E box (5'-CANNTG-3'). Associates with chromatin to enhancer regulatory elements in genes encoding key transcriptional regulators of neurogenesis.

Protein type: DNA-binding; Cell development/differentiation; Transcription factor

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 5q23-q31

Cellular Component: nucleus; perikaryon

Molecular Function: chromatin binding; DNA binding; protein binding; protein dimerization activity; transcription factor activity

Biological Process: cell fate commitment; inner ear morphogenesis; nervous system development; neuron differentiation; positive regulation of exit from mitosis; positive regulation of neuron differentiation; positive regulation of transcription factor activity; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; transcription, DNA-dependent
