Preparation and Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 degree C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 degree C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Other Notes
Small volumes of anti-AOC1 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Related Product Information for
anti-AOC1 antibody
This gene encodes a membrane glycoprotein that is
expressed in many epithelium-rich and/or hematopoietic tissues and
oxidatively deaminates putrescine and histamine. The protein may
play a role in controlling the level of histamine and/or putrescine
in these tissues. It also binds to and is inhibited by amiloride, a
diuretic that acts by closing epithelial sodium ion channels.

NCBI Summary for AOC1
This gene encodes a metal-binding membrane glycoprotein that oxidatively deaminates putrescine, histamine, and related compounds. The encoded protein is inhibited by amiloride, a diuretic that acts by closing epithelial sodium ion channels. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2013]
UniProt Comments for AOC1
ABP1: Catalyzes the degradation of compounds such as putrescine, histamine, spermine, and spermidine, substances involved in allergic and immune responses, cell proliferation, tissue differentiation, tumor formation, and possibly apoptosis. Placental DAO is thought to play a role in the regulation of the female reproductive function. Belongs to the copper/topaquinone oxidase family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
