Application Notes for anti-CD80 antibody
Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 4000.
Western Blot: Approx 60kDa band observed in Human Lymph Node and Human Tonsil lysates (calculated MW of 33. 0kDa according to NP_005182.1). The observed molecular weight corresponds to earlier findings with different antibodies from other commercial sources. Recommended concentration: 0.3-1ug/ml.

Western Blot (WB) of anti-CD80 antibody
(1ug/ml) staining of Lymph Node lysate (35ug protein in RIPA buffer). Primary incubation was 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence.

NCBI Summary for CD80
The protein encoded by this gene is a membrane receptor that is activated by the binding of CD28 or CTLA-4. The activated protein induces T-cell proliferation and cytokine production. This protein can act as a receptor for adenovirus subgroup B and may play a role in lupus neuropathy. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2011]
UniProt Comments for CD80
CD80: Involved in the costimulatory signal essential for T- lymphocyte activation. T-cell proliferation and cytokine production is induced by the binding of CD28 or CTLA-4 to this receptor.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Immunoglobulin superfamily
