Form/Format
Supplied as a lyophilized powder in PBS, pH 7.2. Reconstitute in ddH2O.
Immunogen
Synthetic human OIF peptide (aa 187-198) bTG-conjugated (ANAFKKLNNLTE)
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20 degree C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Other Notes
Small volumes of anti-OGN antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for OGN
This gene encodes a protein which induces ectopic bone formation in conjunction with transforming growth factor beta. This protein is a small proteoglycan which contains tandem leucine-rich repeats (LRR). Alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode the same protein have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
UniProt Comments for OGN
OGN: Induces bone formation in conjunction with TGF-beta-1 or TGF-beta-2. Belongs to the small leucine-rich proteoglycan (SLRP) family. SLRP class III subfamily.
