Small volumes of anti-Slc39a14 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Related Product Information for
anti-Slc39a14 antibody
ZIP14 Antibody: The zinc transporter ZIP14, also known as SLC39A14, is a member of a family of divalent ion transporters. Zinc is an essential ion for cells and plays significant roles in the growth, development, and differentiation. The zinc transporter family is divided into four subfamilies (I, II, LIV-1 and gufA). ZIP14 is a glycosylated multipass plasma membrane protein that belongs to the ZIP transporter subfamily LIV-1. ZIP14 has been shown to contribute to the hypozincemia of inflammation and infection and is regulated in the liver by IL-6. In addition to zinc, ZIP14 is also involved in the cellular uptake of non-transferrin-bound iron as well as iron bound to transferrin.
Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-Slc39a14 antibody
Application Notes for anti-Slc39a14 antibody
ZIP14 antibody can be used for detection of ZIP14 by Western blot at 1 - 2 ug/mL. Antibody can also be used for immunohistochemistry starting at 2.5 ug/mL. For immunofluorescence start at 20 ug/mL.

Optimal dilutions for each application to be determined by the researcher.

NCBI Summary for Slc39a14
Zinc is an essential cofactor for hundreds of enzymes. It is involved in protein, nucleic acid, carbohydrate, and lipid metabolism, as well as in the control of gene transcription, growth, development, and differentiation. SLC39A14 belongs to a subfamily of proteins that show structural characteristics of zinc transporters (Taylor and Nicholson, 2003 [PubMed 12659941]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]
