Preparation and Storage
Storage: Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Store at 4 degree C for frequent use.
Aliquot and store at -20 degree C for two years.
Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Other Notes
Small volumes of anti-APOA4 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

UniProt Comments for APOA4
APOA4: May have a role in chylomicrons and VLDL secretion and catabolism. Required for efficient activation of lipoprotein lipase by ApoC-II; potent activator of LCAT. Apoa-IV is a major component of HDL and chylomicrons. Synthesized primarily in the intestine and secreted in plasma. Belongs to the apolipoprotein A1/A4/E family.

Protein type: Cell adhesion; Endoplasmic reticulum; Lipid-binding; Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 9 A5.2|9 25.36 cM

Cellular Component: cell surface; chylomicron; extracellular matrix; extracellular region; extracellular space

Molecular Function: antioxidant activity; cholesterol binding; cholesterol transporter activity; copper ion binding; lipid binding; phosphatidylcholine binding; protein homodimerization activity
