Preparation and Storage
Storage: Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Store at 4°C for frequent use.
Aliquot and store at -20°C for 12 months.

Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37oC for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Note: As fluorescence can photobleach when exposed to light, so the antibody must be protected from light.
ISO Certification
Manufactured in an ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 Certified Laboratory.
Supply Chain Verification
Manufactured in a lab with traceable raw materials. Bulk orders can typically be prepared to the customer’s specifications, please inquire.
Other Notes
Small volumes of anti-PF4 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for PF4
This gene encodes a member of the CXC chemokine family. This chemokine is released from the alpha granules of activated platelets in the form of a homotetramer which has high affinity for heparin and is involved in platelet aggregation. This protein is chemotactic for numerous other cell type and also functions as an inhibitor of hematopoiesis, angiogenesis and T-cell function. The protein also exhibits antimicrobial activity against Plasmodium falciparum. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2014]
UniProt Comments for PF4
PF4: Released during platelet aggregation. Neutralizes the anticoagulant effect of heparin because it binds more strongly to heparin than to the chondroitin-4-sulfate chains of the carrier molecule. Chemotactic for neutrophils and monocytes. Inhibits endothelial cell proliferation, the short form is a more potent inhibitor than the longer form. Belongs to the intercrine alpha (chemokine CxC) family.

Protein type: Apoptosis; Chemokine; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 4q13.3

Cellular Component: extracellular region; extracellular space

Molecular Function: chemokine activity; CXCR3 chemokine receptor binding; heparin binding; protein binding

Biological Process: cytokine and chemokine mediated signaling pathway; G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; immune response; inflammatory response; leukocyte chemotaxis; negative regulation of angiogenesis; negative regulation of cytolysis; negative regulation of megakaryocyte differentiation; negative regulation of MHC class II biosynthetic process; platelet activation; platelet degranulation; positive regulation of cAMP metabolic process; positive regulation of leukocyte chemotaxis; positive regulation of macrophage differentiation; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; positive regulation of tumor necrosis factor production; regulation of cell proliferation; response to lipopolysaccharide
