Immunogen
Recombinant PXR (Tyr205-Gly390) expressed in E.coli.
Conjugated Antibody
The APC conjugated antibody version of this item is also available as catalog #MBS2073698
Preparation and Storage
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Store at 4°C for frequent use.
Aliquot and store at -20°C for 12 months.

Stability Test:
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 3rC for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Other Notes
Small volumes of anti-PXR antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

UniProt Comments for PXR
PXR: Nuclear receptor that binds and is activated by variety of endogenous and xenobiotic compounds. Transcription factor that activates the transcription of multiple genes involved in the metabolism and secretion of potentially harmful xenobiotics, drugs and endogenous compounds. Activated by the antibiotic rifampicin and various plant metabolites, such as hyperforin, guggulipid, colupulone, and isoflavones. Response to specific ligands is species-specific. Activated by naturally occurring steroids, such as pregnenolone and progesterone. Binds to a response element in the promoters of the CYP3A4 and ABCB1/MDR1 genes. Heterodimer with RXR. Interacts with NCOA1. Expressed in liver, colon and small intestine. Belongs to the nuclear hormone receptor family. NR1 subfamily. 7 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: DNA-binding; Nuclear receptor

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 16|16 B3

Cellular Component: intermediate filament cytoskeleton; nuclear body; nucleoplasm; nucleus

Molecular Function: DNA binding; DNA binding transcription factor activity; drug binding; ligand-dependent nuclear receptor activity; metal ion binding; protein binding; sequence-specific DNA binding; steroid hormone receptor activity; zinc ion binding
