Biological Significance
Calbindin D29k is a member of a large family of intracellular calcium binding proteins, containing EF hand calcium binding motifs, and related to calmodulin and troponin C. The biological roles of Calbindin D29k include calcium regulation and calcium dependent signalling in neurons and during development. wo calcium binding proteins, calbindin and calretinin, have been reported to be expressed in abundance in Purkinje cells and other cell types in the cerebellum.
Immunogen
Calbindin antibody (D9K) was raised in rabbit using recombinant rat Calbindin D-9K as the immunogen.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C for short term storage. Aliquot and store at -80 degree C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap.
