Specificity    Mouse CD2/LFA-2 (Mr 45-58 kDa)
CD2, also known as leukocyte function-associated antigen-2 (LFA-2), is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of cell adhesion molecules.^1 It is expressed on the surface of >95% of thymocytes, and essentially all B cells, T cells and NK cells. ^1-3 In the mouse, CD2 is the receptor for CD48.^4 CD2 is thought to play a major role in mediating T-cell adhesion, T-cell recognition/activation, Tcell signaling and intrathymic differentiation.^5-10
 Form/Format    Purified (UNLB) Antibody

Characterization    To insure lot-to-lot consistency, each batch of product is tested by flow cytometry to conform with the characteristics of a standard reference reagent. Representative data are included in this data sheet.
Section Bar
Preparation and Storage    The purified (UNLB) antibody is supplied as 0.5 mg of purified immunoglobulin in 1.0 mL of 100 mM borate buffered saline, pH 8.2. No preservatives or amine-containing buffer salts added. Store at 2- 8 degree C.
The fluorescein (FITC) conjugate is supplied as 0.5 mg or 0.1 mg in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3. Store at 2- 8 degree C.
The biotin (BIOT) conjugate is supplied as 0.5 mg in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3. Store at 2-8 degree C.
The R-phycoerythrin (R-PE) conjugate is supplied as 0.1 mg in 1.0 mL or 0.2 mg in 2.0 mL of PBS/NaN3 and a stabilizing agent. Store at 2-8 degree C. Do not freeze!
The low endotoxin, azide-free (LE/AF) antibody is supplied as 0.5 mg purified immunoglobulin in 1.0 mL of PBS. Aliquot and store at or below -20 degree C.
Protect conjugated forms from light. Aliquot and freeze the low endotoxin, azide-free product at -20 degree C immediately upon receipt. Each reagent is stable for the period shown on the bottle label if stored as directed.
Other Notes    Small volumes of anti-Cd2 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
