Preparation and Storage    Store at 4 degree C or at -20 degree C if preferred. This product should be stored undiluted. Storage in frost free freezers is not recommended. This product is photosensitive and should be protected from light. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life: 18 months from date of despatch.
Other Notes    Small volumes of anti-CD45 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

Product Description specifically for anti-CD45 antibody

Mouse anti Rat CD45 antibody, clone OX-1 recognizes CD45, also known as the leucocyte common antigen (LCA). The leucocyte common antigen consists of a family of heavily glycosylated membrane glycoproteins of molecular weight 180 - 240kDa. Antibodies recognising a common epitope on all of these isoforms are termed CD45, whilst those recognising only individual isoforms are termed CD45RA, CD45RO etc. OX-1 reacts with all forms of CD45 expressed by all haematopoietic cells, except erythrocytes. CD45 isoforms play complex roles in T-cell and B-cell antigen receptor signal transduction. This product is routinely tested in flow cytometry on rat splenocytes
 Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-CD45 antibody

Flow cytometry (FC/FACS)

Application Notes for anti-CD45 antibody    Flow Cytometry: Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 106 cells in 100ul.
Flow Cytometry: Minimum Dilution: Neat; Maximum Dilution: 1/10

NCBI Summary for CD45    member of a family of heavily glycosylated leukocyte cell surface glycoproteins; displays extensive O-glycosylation [RGD, Feb 2006]
Section Bar
UniProt Comments for CD45    CD45: a receptor type protein tyrosine phosphatase protein. Contains an extracellular domain, a single transmembrane segment and two tandem intracytoplasmic catalytic domains. The first PTPAse domain has enzymatic activity, while the second one seems to affect the substrate specificity of the first one. Specifically expressed in hematopoietic cells. An essential regulator of T- and B-cell antigen receptor signaling. Functions through either direct interaction with components of the antigen receptor complexes, or by activating various Src family kinases required for the antigen receptor signaling. Suppresses JAK kinases, and thus functions as a regulator of cytokine receptor signaling. Four alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.
