Product Description specifically for anti-CD86 antibody

Rat anti Mouse CD86 antibody, clone RMMP-2 recognizes the murine CD86 cell surface antigen, also known as B7-2.
 Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-CD86 antibody

Flow cytometry (FC/FACS)

Application Notes for anti-CD86 antibody    Flow Cytometry: Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 106 cells in 100ul. The Fc region of monoclonal antibodies may bind non-specifically to cells expressing low affinity Fc receptors. This may be reduced by using SeroBlock FcR.
Flow Cytometry: Maximum Dilution: Neat

UniProt Comments for CD86    CD86: Receptor involved in the costimulatory signal essential for T-lymphocyte proliferation and interleukin-2 production, by binding CD28 or CTLA-4. May play a critical role in the early events of T-cell activation and costimulation of naive T-cells, such as deciding between immunity and anergy that is made by T- cells within 24 hours after activation. Isoform 2 interferes with the formation of CD86 clusters, and thus acts as a negative regulator of T-cell activation. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Immunoglobulin superfamily; Membrane protein, integral

Cellular Component: cell surface; membrane; intracellular membrane-bound organelle; integral to membrane; plasma membrane; external side of plasma membrane

Molecular Function: receptor binding

Biological Process: negative regulation of T cell anergy; B cell activation; immune system process; toll-like receptor signaling pathway; positive regulation of T cell proliferation; positive regulation of activated T cell proliferation; defense response to virus
