Related Product Information for anti-CMKLR1 antibody

Chemerin, also known as TIG2, is a distant member of the cystatin superfamily. The chemerin precursor is cleaved by multiple serine proteases at various sites near the C-terminus. Mature active chemerin is a 15-16kD heparin binding protein that induces immature dendritic cell and macrophage chemotaxis through interactions with ChemR23.
Product Categories/Family for anti-CMKLR1 antibody    Antibodies; Abs to Binding Proteins
 Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-CMKLR1 antibody

ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Neutralization

Application Notes for anti-CMKLR1 antibody    Suitable for use in Western Blot, Neutralization and ELISA.
Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug/ml detects Chemerin in recombinant mouse Chemerin under non-reducing conditions.
Neutralization: 1-5ug/ml in the presence of 100ng/ml of recombinant mouse Chemerin. Measured by its ability to neutralize Chemerin-induced chemotaxis in the BaF3 mouse pro-B cell line transfected with human Chem R23.
Optimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory for each application.

UniProt Comments for CMKLR1    CMKLR1: Receptor for the chemoattractant adipokine chemerin/RARRES2 and for the omega-3 fatty acid derived molecule resolvin E1. Interaction with RARRES2 induces activation of intracellular signaling molecules, such as SKY, MAPK1/3 (ERK1/2), MAPK14/P38MAPK and PI3K leading to multifunctional effects, like, reduction of immune responses, enhancing of adipogenesis and angionesis. Resolvin E1 down-regulates cytokine production in macrophages by reducing the activation of MAPK1/3 (ERK1/2) and NF- kappa-B. Acts as a coreceptor for several SIV strains (SIVMAC316, SIVMAC239, SIVMACL7E-FR and SIVSM62A), as well as a primary HIV-1 strain (92UG024-2). Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Membrane protein, multi-pass; Receptor, GPCR; GPCR, family 1

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 12q24.1

Cellular Component: integral to plasma membrane; plasma membrane; integral to membrane

Molecular Function: G-protein coupled receptor activity; protein binding; chemokine receptor activity; receptor activity

Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; negative regulation of interleukin-12 production; inhibition of NF-kappaB transcription factor; positive regulation of fat cell differentiation; regulation of calcium-mediated signaling; immune response; chemotaxis; skeletal development
