Specificity
MAbs react with LPS membrane of Legionella pneumophila. MAbs do not cross-react with Legionella pneumophila serogroups 2, 6, 7, 10 and 11, Legionella bozemanii, Legionella lonbeachae, Legionella micdadei, Corynebacterium diphtheria, Pseudomonas fluorescens, Pseudomonas cepacia, Pseudomonas aerugenose, Bordetella pertusis, Leptospira interrogens (Australia, Pomona, Icterogemorrhagia), Toxoplasma gondii, Hemophilus influenza (type B), Hemophilus ducreyi, Brucella abortus, Bacillus anthracis, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Listeria monocytogenes, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Neisseria meningitides, Pasteurella multocida, Proteus vulgaris, Shigella sonnei, Staphylocccus faecalis, Streptococcus puogenes, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Yersinia pseudotuberculosis, Yersinia pestis EV76, Salmonella typhi, Escherichia coli K88 and Francisella tularensis 15.
Cross-reaction with Legionella pneumophila serogroups 3 and 4 has not been tested.
MAbs

Hybridoma clones have been derived from hybridization of mouse Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells of Balb/c mice immunized with membrane fraction of Legionella pneumophila, strain Philadelphia 1.
Material Safety
This product is sold as an antibody preparation for research use only. Standard Laboratory Practices should be followed when handling this material.
Contains sodium azide (0.1 %) as preservative. Although the amount of sodium azide is very small appropriate care must be taken when handling this product.
Other Notes
Small volumes of anti-Legionella Pneumophila LPS antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Monoclonal antibodies are produced in hybridomas, which are generated by fusion of spleen cells from the immunized animal with myeloma cells. After cloning, the hybridomas are grown in cell culture or as ascites. Specificity of antibodies is checked by varied immunochemical methods. Antibodies are highly antigen-specific and are suitable for use in assay development (matched antibodies pairs already having been selected and validated for use in sandwich immunoassay), as well as for detection of antigens in Western blotting, immunohistochemistry and immunopurification of antigens.
