Preparation and Storage    Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20 degree C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Other Notes    Small volumes of anti-TGFBR3 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

Product Description specifically for anti-TGFBR3 antibody

TGF- RIII is a transmembrane proteoglycan that binds TGF- with high affinity. TGF- RIII lacks a cytoplasmic signaling domain and functions as an accessory receptor that enhances efficient TGF- 2 binding and signaling. A soluble form of the receptor can be released by proteolytic cleavage of the membrane-bound form.

 Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-TGFBR3 antibody

ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB)

Application Notes for anti-TGFBR3 antibody    Western Blot, Direct ELISA
Dilution: Western Blot: This antibody can be used at 1-2ug/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human TGF- RIII. The detection limit for rhTGF- RIII is approximately 50 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions.
Direct ELISA: This antibody can be used at 0.5-1.0ug/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human TGF- RIII. The detection limit for rhTGF- RIII is approximately 15 ng/well.

NCBI Summary for TGFBR3    This locus encodes the transforming growth factor (TGF)-beta type III receptor. The encoded receptor is a membrane proteoglycan that often functions as a co-receptor with other TGF-beta receptor superfamily members. Ectodomain shedding produces soluble TGFBR3, which may inhibit TGFB signaling. Decreased expression of this receptor has been observed in various cancers. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
Section Bar
UniProt Comments for TGFBR3    TGFBR3: Binds to TGF-beta. Could be involved in capturing and retaining TGF-beta for presentation to the signaling receptors. Interacts with TCTEX1D4. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
