 Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-CXCR3 antibody

Peptide ELISA (EIA)

Application Notes for anti-CXCR3 antibody    Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 64000.
Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 50-55kDa band in lysates of human thymus, kidney and placenta, and of cell line HeLa after 0.3ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 40.7kDa according to NP_001495.1. The 50-55kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.

NCBI Summary for CXCR3    This gene encodes a G protein-coupled receptor with selectivity for three chemokines, termed CXCL9/Mig (monokine induced by interferon-g), CXCL10/IP10 (interferon-g-inducible 10 kDa protein) and CXCL11/I-TAC (interferon-inducible T cell a-chemoattractant). Binding of chemokines to this protein induces cellular responses that are involved in leukocyte traffic, most notably integrin activation, cytoskeletal changes and chemotactic migration. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. One of the isoforms (CXCR3-B) shows high affinity binding to chemokine, CXCL4/PF4 (PMID:12782716). [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2011]

Research Articles on CXCR3    1. CXCR3-A, the predominant form in hematopoietic cells, mediates tumor "go" signaling by promoting cell proliferation, survival, chemotaxis, invasion and metastasis; while CXCR3-B, on epithelial cells, mediates "stop" signaling
