Preparation and Storage    Storage: Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Store at 4 degree C for frequent use.
Aliquot and store at -20 degree C for 12 months.
Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Other Notes    Small volumes of anti-CECR1 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for CECR1    This gene encodes a member of a subfamily of the adenosine deaminase protein family. The encoded protein is one of two adenosine deaminases found in humans, which regulate levels of the signaling molecule, adenosine. The encoded protein is secreted from monocytes undergoing differentiation and may regulate cell proliferation and differentiation. This gene may be responsible for some of the phenotypic features associated with cat eye syndrome. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2013]

UniProt Comments for CECR1    CECR1: Adenosine deaminase that may contribute to the degradation of extracellular adenosine, a signaling molecule that controls a variety of cellular responses. Requires elevated adenosine levels for optimal enzyme activity. Binds to cell surfaces via proteoglycans and may play a role in the regulation of cell proliferation and differentiation, independently of its enzyme activity. Belongs to the adenosine and AMP deaminases family. ADGF subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: EC 3.5.4.4; Hydrolase; Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 22q11.1

Cellular Component: cytosol; extracellular region; extracellular space

Molecular Function: adenosine deaminase activity; adenosine receptor binding; growth factor activity; heparin binding; protein homodimerization activity; proteoglycan binding; zinc ion binding
