Specificity    Rabbit anti Mouse G Protein alpha 0 antibody recognizes the alpha subunit of murine Guanine nucleotide-binding protein G(o). Guanine nucleotide-binding protein G(o) is a 354 amino acid membrane associated protein of ~40kDa forming a heterotrimeric protein complex with beta and Gamma subunits. Two isoforms of the ? subunit are generated by alternative splicing with a single amino acid substitution in the immunogen sequence (a lysine for an asparagine at position 346), it is not known whether this substitution affects the binding to isoform 2.

Preparation and Storage    Store at 4 degree C or at -20 degree C if preferred. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life: 18 months from date of despatch.
Other Notes    Small volumes of anti-Gnao1 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

Related Product Information for anti-Gnao1 antibody

Rabbit anti Mouse G Protein alpha 0 antibody recognizes the alpha subunit of murine Guanine nucleotide-binding protein G(o). Guanine nucleotide-binding protein G(o) is a 354 amino acid membrane associated protein of ~40kDa forming a heterotrimeric protein complex with beta and gamma subunits. Two isoforms of the alpha subunit are generated by alternative splicing with a single amino acid substitution in the immunogen sequence (a lysine for an asparagine at position 346), it is not known whether this substitution affects the binding to isoform 2. Rabbit anti Mouse G Protein alpha 0 antibody has been used successfully for the detection of G(o) in Drosophila by western blotting (Guo et al. 2011).

UniProt Comments for Gnao1    G-alpha(o): Guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) are involved as modulators or transducers in various transmembrane signaling systems. The G(o) protein function is not clear. Stimulated by RGS14. Interacts with RGS14. G proteins are composed of 3 units; alpha, beta and gamma. The alpha chain contains the guanine nucleotide binding site. Belongs to the G-alpha family. G(i/o/t/z) subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
