Preparation and Storage    Store at 4 degree C or at -20 degree C if preferred. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life: 18 months from date of despatch.
Other Notes    Small volumes of anti-HA-TAG antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

Related Product Information for anti-HA-TAG antibody

Rabbit anti HA-Tag antibody recognizes the HA (Haemagglutinin) epitope tag peptide sequence YPYDVPDYA, when fused to either the amino- or carboxyl- terminus of target proteins, including expression in many frequently used expression vectors. Rabbit anti HA-Tag antibody has been tested against both the immunogen and recombinant proteins containing the HA sequence in ELISA and Western blotting. In Western blotting of bacterial extracts Rabbit anti HA-Tag antibody has been shown not to cross-react with any endogenous proteins.
 Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-HA-TAG antibody

ELISA (EIA), Immunohistology Paraffin*, Western Blot (WB)

Application Notes for anti-HA-TAG antibody    Immunohistology - Paraffin: Application Note: This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for this purpose.

UniProt Comments for HA-TAG    Binds to sialic acid-containing receptors on the cell surface, bringing about the attachment of the virus particle to the cell. This attachment induces virion internalization of about two third of the virus particles through clathrin-dependent endocytosis and about one third through a clathrin- and caveolin-independent pathway. Plays a major role in the determination of host range restriction and virulence. Class I viral fusion protein. Responsible for penetration of the virus into the cell cytoplasm by mediating the fusion of the membrane of the endocytosed virus particle with the endosomal membrane. Low pH in endosomes induces an irreversible conformational change in HA2, releasing the fusion hydrophobic peptide. Several trimers are required to form a competent fusion pore ().
